Publishing Research Papers
The key players dominating research publishing are Informaplc, John Wiley & Sons, Reed Elsevier, Springer Science+Business Media, Truven Health Analytics, and Wolters Kluwer, together with American Medical Association, BMJ Group, Hearst Corp, Igaku-Shion, Massachusetts Medical Society, Thieme Medical Publishers, and UMB Medica. The publishers are dominantly from the USA, China, Germany, France and Japan (Service close-up, 2014).
Choosing the right publisher for the work is not easy. There are several considerations to be taken such as the audience, space restrictions, flow of submitted papers, and acceptance among others. Some publishers simply call for publication presentation but in the end don’t publish the papers even after payment. It is therefore important to think of the target publisher even before the research and identify carefully the best publisher for your work under desired conditions and preferences (Cals, and Kotz, 2014).
It is important to opt for organizations or publishers who publish presentations done in their symposiums in full text to be available for leaders after other than those who don’t. Some organizations do not publish presentations due to lack of time, avenues or space for making the publications (Full, 2014). Publishing a dissertation is the final part of the dissertation process, yet a long and exhausting process too. Not all articles passed for publication are normally published, which may not be a happy ending after all (Cruz, 2013). It is therefore important for a researcher to make sure that his/her research is published. From the list of the publishers, those who get to publish the researches submitted without fail are best suited even though the research might be published far much later. Yet again, any other publisher who the research qualifies for and is able to print without fail is still an option. The audience targeted is also important to consider while choosing a publisher.
