Learning Outcome
Several practices that are undertaken to make a business organization to be moral present ethical focus. Businesses must have fair dealings and conduct ethical transactions irrespective of whether they are regulators or not. As in the video presentation, ethics applies to all and cannot be separated as personal or business. The session made me learn how corporate and leadership hitches on the lack of standards can cost an organization. I have learned skills about the management of the ethical organization and how to respond to ethical concerns. Managerial change, moral values, and organizational goals are some of the important aspects of an ethical organization. The financial support and objectives performance measures and incentives have to be presented in a manner that boosts the organization. The session offered all such factors and taught on the leadership actions and procedures that can be prohibited in an ethical organization.
The overview of the video presentation corporate ethics brought an understanding of how ethics applies to an organization, its scope, and importance to an organization. The session expanded my knowledge in the management of the organization and the practices that maintain ethical standards and how such is beneficial to an organization (Hosmer, 2011). The knowledge I have gained in corporate ethics and its relevance to business and the role of leadership as far as ethics is concerned. I’m fully equipped to be capable of performing as a leader in an organization capable of effecting change that would promote the corporate strategy.
My achievement of the learning objectives and the new knowledge I have gained during the week influenced my thinking through informing me on how to relate management and corporate ethics of an institution. I have expanded my knowledge and built my competencies that I can apply while working as a manager of a corporation or as alecturer, sharing relevant knowledge with students.
