Knowledge gained from assignment one and its application in both academic and professional life

How knowledge is beneficial depends on how it is applied. Research on knowledge management has been documented and distributed electronically enabling experts of knowledge management to interact and share ideas at low cost and more efficiently (Corner & Rastrick, 2010). This is what comprises of distributed learning. Such knowledge that has been packed and distributed in form of books is easily accessible and saves much expenses and time (Nemani, 2010).

Knowledge management being an emergent development has evolved through forums and now available for both personal and organizational needs as well as being used for course work and e-learning globally. After going through the assignment one, I feel better placed to face any challenge within the field of knowledge management (Corner & Rastrick, 2010). I can deliberate on research problems presented to me and view on the extent such problems have been tackled by researchers before and at what time. I have developed more ability in application and integration of research materials with my day-to-day activities (Alrawi, 2010). I feel my tacit experiences are better interwoven with research materials and learning has gained more meaning and become more interesting. I feel the knowledge to gain in this research will be more lasting (Kumar, 2010).

According to my understanding from the knowledge gained in assignment one, organizations with good knowledge management will understand the needs for strategic knowledge. Such organizations will also develop efficient strategies in executing organizational daily activities (Alrawi, 2010). I can apply this in the research and later in my profession. I shall be able to implement architecture efficient for processing knowledge for my organization in my profession as well as at my personal level. This will help me in being creative, explicit, and apply maximum effort in improving my knowledge for effective delivery of my professional responsibilities. It will also help me improve the knowledge of my colleagues for the overall organizational goals (Kianto, 2011).
