Learning Outcomes
The fashion industry has transformed in the recent past from home based knitting and sewing to the use of computer-based advanced machines. The industry capacity in terms of information and production defines its effectiveness with all the processes and systems in that it collaborates to ensure the success of the product. The study during the session explored supply chain of industries and companies at their micro and macro levels are determining their strengths and weaknesses. The study went ahead to focus on the effectiveness of the supply chain systems in place and their sustainability within their industries.
The knowledge during the course was productive in the essential aspects of supply chain management levels and sustainability affecting my thought process by instilling in me the knowledge on effectiveness of supply chain. I will use the knowledge I acquired to offer insight on expanding the scope of examining supply chain systems and processes within companies and industries. In my personal life, I fully have the understanding of collaboration and coordination of the supply chain process and its core benefits to the industry players, product, market and the consumer (Chase, & Jacobs, 2014).
I can confidently pass the knowledge to students explaining the contents of the study explicitly and relating to levels of the supply chain management and sustainability of the process within an industry. The learning process was smooth with no major challenge whatsoever, with an easy grasp of concepts and principles of the session. The book to support the learning process was available, and discussion with peers bore fruit in helping to understand the contents of the course (Chase, & Jacobs, 2014). The learning during the session was highly active, with proper organization to ensure that the students participated fully whenever possible.
