Learning Outcomes
Some processes are essential for strategy implementation within a firm. They support its performance and output optimization within the available inputs and space (Chase, & Jacobs, 2014). There has to be capacity in terms of input and time measurable to define effectiveness of a company in connection with all the processes that exist to keep high performance. The session presented study on strategic capacity management, learning curves, the manufacturing process, facility layout and the service processes within firms. The knowledge during the course was productive in the essential aspects of supply chain management and maintaining an active chain in the complex environment.
The knowledge I have achieved within the week has affected my thought process by instilling in me the knowledge of supply chain network and all the aspects that provide balance for an efficient supply chain. I will use the knowledge I acquired to offer insight on the construct of supply chain process and how to relate them to ensure achievement of higher performance within the available process. In my personal life, I fully have the awareness on supply chain levels. The growth of the knowledge will make me have an interest in more discoveries (Chase, & Jacobs, 2014).
I can confidently pass the knowledge to students explaining the contents of the study explicitly and relating all the aspects of supply chain process within a company. The learning process was smooth, with an easy grasp of concepts and principles. The book to support the learning process was available, and discussions with peers bore fruit in helping to understand the contents (Chase, & Jacobs, 2014). The learning during the session was highly active, with proper organization to ensure that the students participated fully whenever possible.
