Learning Outcomes
This learning session focused on exploring organizational group and teams and behavioral performance management. Many insights were gained on group and team dynamics and related aspects together with the options available for behavioral performance management (Luthans, 2011). There are different theories and perspectives on organizational dynamics and the everyday practices of scholars presenting views that support some while others critique the standard practices in our organizations. The fourth step of learning the group dynamics empowers one to know the distinctions and the proper purpose of each affiliation. Relation of concepts on the type of groups to give an understanding of the appropriateness and the formation of an efficient team as desired. The knowledge I have achieved within the week has affected my thought process by instilling in me concepts of organizational behavioral management and the group dynamics that exists. I have developed extensive knowledge of punishment and reinforcement as forms of behavior control and the applicability of both.
I will use the knowledge I acquired during the session to design proper behavioral performance management techniques and in the formation of appropriate teams that are result oriented in an organization. In personal life, I have realized the essence and effectiveness of reinforcement as a suitable strategy for correcting behaviors that can be applicable even at the family level (Luthans, 2011). I am able to transfer the knowledge I have to other people articulately expressing applicability and relevance. The learning process was smooth with no challenge whatsoever, with an easy grasp of concepts and principles of the session. The book to study in the learning process was available, and the discussion with peers bore fruit in helping to make comparison of approaches. The learning during the session was efficient, organized in better ways to ensure students full participation
