Learning Outcome
The study of ethical leadership is a subject of if not everyone then the prospective leaders who would like to grow in their leadership. Being that morality and ethical values are subjective, moral problems in the organisation and management arise, and there must be ethical and legal values in judging such issues. Studying the three chapters of the book equipped me with worthy knowledge of understanding moral leadership, morality, and legal requirements. My personal learning outcomes is the knowledge I have developed on the nature of morality in the management and the fact of possible diverse view of morality and even how others use it for personal gains or valuable decision making (Hosmer, 2011). The understanding of the aspects of consideration in solving moral problems and that of legality equips me with the understanding of structure problem solving without creating a crisis. I have learned more about the subject matter by reading extensively and the analysis of peer articles and a video presentation.
My achievement of the learning objectives and the new knowledge I have gained during the week affected my thought processes on the different aspects of individual morality and understanding the diversity and how morality is commonly undermined. I have developed knowledge of the availability of the procedures to analyze a situation and execute problem-solving over an issue and the moral impacts. I have expanded my knowledge on the implication of moral problems and the solutions to such problem and the economic impacts and relations. My competencies are built on ethical decision-making and legal judgment, solution to moral problems and the determination of economic outcomes, skills that I can apply while working in an institution in a leadership capacity or share to inform my peers and students to expand their knowledge. People have different beliefs and norms and have the power to decide and hold what harms or benefit others to achieve their interests even when denying others their rights.
