You may choose a topic similar to the one you used in your presentation or chose a

totally different topic. Once you choose a topic, you must identify a movie which

illustrates the topic. You should view the movie, then: You will write a 5 page

double spaced paper (not including the tile and reference pages). Use 12-point Times

Roman. You will have at least three (3) sections. These sections should be tightly

written and all in-text references should be in APA 6th edition. All claims should

be supported with evidence from your research and this research must be cited.

a. Section I: Discuss what you found in your research. In this section, you need to

demonstrate that you understand your topic and that you have synthesized what you

have read.

b. Section II: Link your research to your movie. Specifically, how is the

character’s interaction consistent with that course information and your research on

your topic? How does the film validate or conflict with the research on your topic?

Provide examples. Does the character overcome this particular issue? What specific

resources help the character? If the character does not overcome the issues indicate

why. Support your opinions with evidence from class lectures, resources, and/or your

own research.

c. Section III: Provide your reflection on the topic and links your research to

classroom practice. This section is an important section and carries more weight on

the grading rubric.

The paper must be edited so that you turn in a grammatically correct and logically

connected paper that flows from one concept to the next. This paper must reference

at least five (5) peer-reviewed articles and the movie you selected. Your research

must demonstrate that you have synthesized what you have read and are able to

clearly and accurately convey that knowledge in your won word and see relevance to

classroom practice.
