INSTRUCTIONS

The student is required to write a 6-8 page paper in current Turabian format that

focuses on the reality of spiritual warfare and the role it plays in the

evangelistic process.

Use the following section headers to organize your paper:

PART I-   Define “spiritual warfare.”   After reading this week’s article by Charles

E. Lawless, explain how a “Believer’s Position in Christ” should shape their

perspective of and attitude toward warfare.

PART II-  In his article, Spiritual Warfare and Evangelism, Dr. Lawless identifies

Satan as the “Opponent of Believers.”  Explain how and why Satan comes against

Christians.  Provide corresponding scriptural support.

PART III-   Describe the Armor of God.  Discuss how a Believer can “put on” each

piece of armor daily and the impact each piece has on the process of evangelism.

Provide corresponding scriptural support.

PART IV-  Provide 5 detailed suggestions for a believer who experiences spiritual

warfare while engaging in evangelism.  Provide corresponding scriptural support or a

clear rationale for each bullet point.

PART V-  Research and describe the Holy Spirit’s role in spiritual warfare.  Explain

how one can partner with the Holy Spirit in warfare and how that can impact the

greater work of evangelism.

BIBLIOGRAPHY – Note that you must have at least three supplementary sources (in

addition to the course materials and the Bible) that are used in the development of

your paper.  It is important to note that Wikipedia is NOT a credible source for

this paper.

RUBRIC- The student must attach the assignment rubric to the bottom of their

assignment.

FORMATTING REQUIREMENTS
