Learning Outcomes
The session has been the most enjoyable as in created deeper understanding of the global business opportunities and expanding the knowledge previously acquired from other sessions. My personal and significant learning outcome for the week is the knowledge of how companies can navigate the international markets. I learned about the necessary steps and measures that can be taken while venturing into new international markets (Ball, Geringer, McCulloch, Minor & McNett, 2013). I can say that I have met the objectives of the session since I have mastered the concepts presented in the lessons and acquired new information on the field and the practice. The knowledge I have gained during the week affected my thought processes because I continue thinking globally and imagining on taking over opportunities in an existing organization.
The development I have from the lessons is that I can confidently take on the research for a company crossing boundary with its products and lead competently in such process. In terms of professional growth, I have expanded ideas and knowledge about the subject matter, granting me articulate expertise that I can share on directing a company performance. I can apply this knowledge in my professional life by becoming proactive on issues with international activities and sharing information to contemplate appropriate measures with the relevant team. In my personal life, I can now understand the different products and sources and act as an active consumer. I can take on systematically sharing of the subject with my students to incorporate the knowledge in their already existing capacity. The session had no notable challenges and was full of moments of discovery on relating the processes and activities of an international company. The learning process and materials were efficient and fully aided in meeting the learning objectives.
