Reflective Statement
Organizations face challenges in the environments they operate in, and the behavior and practices dictate its performance at such a time (Luthans, 2011). The course gave presentations on critical aspects of an organization and group dynamics that are essential for proper operation of an organization. The Learning Objective most exciting in the course is on effective motivation techniques on employees. Different group structures develop varied methods either to motivate employees positively or negatively to ensure efficiency in service delivery even though some of them do not have consideration of being effective or do not give positive results.
The significant learning achievement to take away is the change process and process of responding to problems in an organization and offering solutions (Luthans, 2011). The "ah" moments where concepts worked for very hard on before grasping was the analysis of strengths and weaknesses of the decision-making process. The analysis helps in keeping adjustments while applying the knowledge of organizational dynamics. Doing an overview of the dissertation and determining gaps also gave an opportunity to gauge the research and reviews. I will use this knowledge in my personal life through ensuring efficiency in the running of an organization and proposing measures that would work best in different situations.
In my professional life, I would be able to deal with other employees appropriately and cooperate with various levels of the organization ensuring professionalism and practices that benefit the group and other employees. In academic life, I am confident sharing with peers’ the concepts of group dynamics and relevance of best practices to organizations (Luthans, 2011). The new knowledge would help advance career since I can show a high level of competence in handling organizational issues. The course was efficient and presented in a logical and admissible manner, and I feel there is no area in the course that needs adjustment.
