Learning Outcome
This session provided a greater insight into understanding how performance measurement can be improved, the choice and relevance of training employees and the staffing process. I was able to develop an evaluation process that can be used to evaluate employees’ training and gained knowledge on the steps of conducting an evaluation. The knowledge is very relevant to my situation since it has expanded my thinking on staffing, training and workplace performance, and I can be able to implement the concepts effectively in line with organizational strategic goals and objectives.
As a lecturer, I will put students to task to design prototypes of performance improvement strategies and evaluation methods that can be applied in different organizations. These designs will be improved to come up with combined frameworks for each process that is inclusive of the advantages and the disadvantages the prototypes rose. I am able as a lecturer to raise competent students who are fully equipped with knowledge and skills relevant to this session. Since I have learned about “faddish training”, I will avoid as much as possible the effect in my duty and my implementation of the knowledge acquired.
The course did not come with many challenges since most of the concepts are less complex. I could easily relate the concepts and ideas of the session with relevant real life situation to visualize on the applicability of the knowledge I have acquired. The case studies also presented a chance of real-time contemplation and visualization of the applicability of the concept that brought more practicability of the theories.
