Gender Pay Gap
The existing gap in pay for women and men with women being paid less support our shared notion that women are a weaker gender and give a view that they cannot offer much in our organizations. It is true that women are likely to face career interruptions in their work life but this is not as regular as to justify the lesser pay they are granted as compared to men for the same job they offer. I am in agreement with the research that women are paid typically below what men in the same job condition are paid even though there has been slight shrink in the gap in our status. This is unfair since, in the first case, it is inappropriate to pay different people different amounts of money for the same job done under the same condition almost at the same place and time.
I would suggest appropriately that it is only fair for persons to be paid according to what they deliver and in most appropriate agreement without considering age or gender as long as they all meet the set criteria. I fell that women are paid less not because they cannot deliver in terms of performance or because of career interruptions, but because of the existing thought that men are better than they are. This is a salient discrimination in terms of gender in our places of work in the event that people take same tasks for the same period and in the end one side gets a better deal than the other side (Heinslin, 2014). The discrimination that traces back to our learning and training institutions and the missed opportunities women get themselves into are some of the reasons for the lower pay for their work as compared to men.
