Actions during the Dissertation Process
Student
After dissertation approval, student complete the proposal forms from the Doctoral Level Resource Center and coordinate the Dissertation Proposal Conference if need be.The completion and submission of Institutional Review Board (IRB) form with a copy of approved proposal to the Academic Dean’s office is undertaken. Student is allowed to use the designation ofDoctoral Candidate, by use of DBA (abd- all but dissertation) after the name if the proposal is approved. The student proceeds to collect data, and then perform the analysis after the collection is complete and fill inthe template of the dissertation initially prepared. As a student, I will then look for publishers who can publish my work and agree with them about the publication (Alexander, 2014).Academic Dean’s office is handed with an electronic copy of the dissertation
The chair and the committee members
The chair has a responsibility to notify the Academic Dean’s office of the dissertation approval. The chair and each of the committee members agrees upon oral defense date for the dissertation they approved and time and all three must be present during the presentation. If the dissertation is approved with changes, the chair will notify the Academic Dean’s office of the Approval with changes and the changes entailed. The committee will request modifications be made to the proposal and once the modifications are made to their satisfaction, they will thenchange proposal status to Fully Pass (Hilliard, 2013).
The dean
The Academic Dean’s office reviews the final dissertation to ensure consistency with Apollos University standards and format. The dissertation is signed and returned for routing to be signed by members of the dissertation committee. The Academic Dean will convene an IRB board to review the proposal to ensure that the rights and welfare of the human research subjects within the research are protected. The dean will ensure the student’s research and dissertation meet the University standards, upholding the University’s policies and procedures
I will approach publishers for the publication of findings or presentation of findings during one of their seminars of symposiums. They include H.W. Wilson Company and Providence journal, The Guardian and Universal Publisher, according to Alexander (2014) and UNIVERSAL PUBLISHERS, INC (2014).
