Learning Outcomes
Supply chain companies require appropriate planning, control and management of the process all through from the first step to the final point a product reaches the consumer (Chase, & Jacobs, 2014). The session of the week focused on material requirements and work center, bringing out the understanding of controlling labor and resources throughout the process of the supply chain. Every manufacturer and company rely on proper planning and decision making to direct its operation to meet the demand of the customers and markets at a minimal cost.
The knowledge during the course and the video review was productive in presenting views on what takes place in the supply chain process, the concerns that should be put in organizing tasks in supply chain and allocating resources. Companies have to develop means and measures to respond to the demand for their products in the markets by ensuring that their supply chain process avail the required products to consumers (Chase, & Jacobs, 2014). The knowledge I have gained will help in developing strategies to incorporate the means available to the supply chain process in a more appropriate way to ensure that products are appropriately availed within required time at minimal cost. In my personal life, I have the capacity of incorporating different strategies and systems within the supply chain process to achieve greater success.
I can confidently pass the knowledge to students explaining the contents of the study explicitly relating to scheduling, planning, and dispatch to help them in choosing systems and strategies relevant to the process. The learning process was smooth with no challenge, with an easy grasp of concepts and principles of the session. The book to support the learning process was available, and the discussion with peers bore fruit in helping to understand the contents of the course (Chase, & Jacobs, 2014). The learning process was highly efficient, with the proper organization to ensure that the students participated fully whenever possible.
