Learning Outcomes
There exist different forms and design of organizations with different characteristics depending on the form. In another way, teams roll out different reward systems for their employees. The session presented study on the structures and design of organizations and the possible reward systems that are common to groups (Luthans, 2011). In the session, we had an opportunity of exploring the theory of the foundation of organizational culture and design. Learning about the different cultures and designs of organization brought about a proper understanding of their characteristics and features. I also learned how organizational culture can be created, changed and maintained and the effect of the different cultures and designs to the organizational performance. The knowledge I have achieved within the week has affected my thought process by instilling in me the knowledge of the regulatory design process and the reward methodologies that can be adopted for employees.
I will apply the knowledge I acquired from the session to help my group in relating best practices to performance and taking measures that will ensure the appropriate culture and design of an organization that will relate to proper performance. In my personal life, I will be able to understand the effect of the different models of organization and reward systems. I can confidently pass the knowledge to students explaining the contents of the study explicitly. The learning process was smooth with no challenge whatsoever, with an easy grasp of concepts and principles of the session. I discovered that it was possible to have a blend of reward systems and influence organizational culture (Luthans, 2011). The book to be studied to support the learning process was availed, and the discussion with peers bore fruit in helping to grasp the contents of the session. The learning during the session was highly efficient, organized in better ways to ensure that the students participated fully whenever possible
