Learning Outcome
The study of ethical leadership should be a subject of almost everyone in an organization. The fact that legal and moral judgments are subjective causes conflicts continuously in organizations. The topic of moral analysis and legal requirements and the review of the article on using social identity theory to predict managers’ emphases on ethical and legal values in judging business issues have equipped me with worthy knowledge of understanding ethical leadership and the morality in the management. My personal learning outcomes is the knowledge I have achieved with the emphasis on legal and moral judgment of managers and the fact of possible diverse view of morality and how managers use their values and attributes in decision making Hosmer (2011). The understanding of the aspects of judging business issues equips me with the understanding of structure problem solving without creating a crisis. I have learned more about the subject matter by reading extensively and the analysis of the peer article.
My achievement of the learning objectives and the new knowledge I have gained during the week affected my thought processes by informing me on the different aspects of moral analysis and legal requirements and understanding of the processes of analysis and offering solutions to ethical problems. I have developed knowledge of the availability of the means to analyze a situation and to execute problem-solving over an issue and the ethical impacts, justice and formulation of law. My competencies are built around ethical and legal judgement of business issues and the analytical process of solving moral problems, skills that I can apply while working in an institution in a leadership capacity or share to inform my peers and students to expand their knowledge.
