Learning Outcome
Investment by Multinational companies in foreign states and appropriate cash management systems formed the part of the course examined in the session (Eun & Resnick, 2015). There was an extensive study on multinational cash management, international trade finance, international tax environment and transfer pricing. There are considerable risks and benefits in financial and operational perspectives that multinational companies must be aware of when venturing into foreign markets (Eun & Resnick, 2015). The course is best suited to furnish in every possible way for multinational corporations to venture into global markets and possible ways to navigate through the barriers and handling tax issues.
The session gave a focus on examining active cash management systems in helping multinational companies to save money associated with transactions. Cash management systems used by multinationals are common or have similar feature regardless of the company operating in a domestic or foreign market (Eun & Resnick, 2015). Multinational corporations must also have appropriate measures to comply with the tax policies related to investing in a foreign country. The knowledge I gained during the week has given me understanding on issues relevant to the operation of the multinational company, financial management, and international taxation.
I can confidently contribute to the strategies of a multinational corporation to invest in the foreign environment, effectively manage its cash transactions involving foreign currencies, and minimize associated costs. Like a lecture, I can articulately guide the students in their mission to understand the concepts and issues relating cash management systems for multinational companies, foreign tax policy implications and investment in foreign environments. There was a great success, and minimal challenges in the manner of the course presentation and during discussions, and the materials for use in the session were available.
