Learning Outcomes
Understanding organizational behavior in different environmental context was the focus of the session. Every organization faces changes and challenges in the environments they operate in, and the organizational behavior and practices will dictate its performance at such a time (Luthans, 2011). Learning how to increase the effectiveness through best practices was a focus on the manner to ensure attainment of better performance. There are contextual factors that relate to and affect the efficiency of an organization. I learned about the organizational behavior and the factors that impact on organizations. The knowledge I have achieved within the week has affected my thought process by instilling in me the knowledge of anevidence-based approach to organizational behavior and factors surrounding an organization. I have developed extensive knowledge of the organizational behavior and its concepts that apply to any organization setup.
I will apply the knowledge I acquired from the session to help my group in relating best practices to performance and taking measures that will ensure appropriate performance achievement and management. In my personal life, I will be able to know what to expect from organizations mostly the global. I can confidently pass the knowledge to students explaining the contents of the study explicitly. The learning process was smooth with no challenge whatsoever, with an easy grasp of concepts and principles of the session. I discovered that diversity is a critical component of focus for an organization (Luthans, 2011). The book to be studied to support the learning process was availed, and the discussion with peers bore fruit in helping to grasp the contents of the session. The learning during the session was efficient and organized in better ways to ensure that the students participated fully whenever possible.
