Learning Outcome
Warren Buffet felt that integrity is more important than intelligence or energy and that when looking for employees then integrity is the first thing to go for before any other aspect. I have learned that integrity presents a manner of consistency in which a person shows actions and feelings. A leader must have integrity, essential in giving directions and giving a sense of reliability in a manner in which functions are executed. Professor Andreas in the video also presents integrity as a virtue that is necessary for giving a business direction. He explains that it is better having employees that disagree with you on some issues to benefit the firm than those who will agree with everything.
The overview of the video presentation on finding a compass for business provides overall a way that a company can succeed. The session expanded my knowledge in ethical duties and the manner in which moral duties were integral in running an organization. I was able to learn about moral philosophy and different principles that would help a leader to perform best functions in a business. The knowledge I have gained on integrity, and the moral compass of a company, also to moral philosophy and the principles make feel equipped to be active as a leader in an organization.
My achievement of the learning objectives and the new knowledge I have gained during the week influenced by thinking through informing me on the different principles. The principle of religious injunction was used by professor Andreas in explaining moral compass for business (Hosmer, 2011). I have developed proper knowledge in normative philosophy and its principles, and its importance for a leader, a lecturer and a firm. I have expanded my knowledge and built my competencies that I can apply while working as a leader or a professor.
