Learning Outcome
The Learning Objective that I found most interesting was to differentiate the three organizational resources within management information systems, the people, the information and the information technology. The whole of the course revolved around these resources on how they affect, and are influenced by technology at different levels. Having understood and differentiated the resources made it easier for continuity of learning other segments of the course. The significant learning achievement is the perfect understanding of information technology, its advancements and the impacts it has on the current age. I realized that not every technology is appropriate in every particular moment. I will be able to apply this knowledge in identifying appropriate technologies and distinguish its effect on organizations and the society.
The "ah" moments where I suddenly were able to grasp a concept was when I learnt the e-commerce models. I was able to distinguish the different models, their application on how some could be combined to come up with a single model. I am able to apply this knowledge in class to discuss with learners expansively on the subject matter of network, its concepts and the relevant components. The knowledge advances my competency in understanding technology and its roles, and in expanding my knowledge and skills in the field of network and technology in general. I am able to undertake relevant duties and careers confidently having the perfect knowledge of what I am doing and required to do, and explore more areas within my career as a lecturer.
This course is highly effective for my personal and career development. There are no key areas that I would suggest be modified in the course, but with time any such observations made can be taken into consideration to fit with the new regulations and trends. The pace of the course was also appropriate on meeting time constraints. I had right pace to undertake the study with no much pressure and in overall, the course objectives were fully met as per the expectations.
