behavior being modeled for children who watch these shows. Summarize your findings
and determine whether the children’s show is promoting prosocial or antisocial
behaviors (and/or both)
. Compare your findings with what the text describes about children’s self-concept
and social cognitive views on learning.
• Analyze the behaviors of the male and female characters on a particular television
show, determining the extent to which each one models gender-stereotypical behavior.
Describe your findings and relate it back to social cognitive views of learning.
Write a short reflective essay on how gender-stereotypical behaviors affect our
views of each other. Describe how your opinion of certain groups of people have been
affected based on stereo-types and/or your upbringing and/or influences from society
and technology.
