Learning Outcome
Focusing on the foreign direct investment and cross-border acquisitions together with international capital structure and budgeting formed the part of the session (Eun & Resnick, 2015). The study during the session gave an extensive overlook and in-depth understanding on the multinational operation trends and the strategies to operate in the international segments against barriers and financial risks. There are considerable risks and benefits in financial and operational perspectives that the primary companies must be aware of when venturing trade across borders. The course is best suited to furnish in every possible way for a corporation to venture into global markets and possible ways to navigate through the barriers.
The session gave a focus on examining adjustments and budget analysis in response to projected risks and restructuring company capital to fit the new model of the company in the course of its expansion. It is noticeable that there is a significant possibility that different firms within a boundary can have difference in performance depending on the strategies formulated. The companies must have an appropriate way to fit into the markets without making serious financial problems. The knowledge I gained during the week has given me understanding on issues relating to the design, startup and operation of multinational company structure.
I can confidently contribute to the strategies of a corporation to sail in the global environment and ultimately achieve competitive advantage in the new markets. I can apply the lessons learnt to inform expansion of a company to a multinational status considering the financial and budgeting structures and analysis (Eun & Resnick, 2015). Like a lecture, I can articulately guide the students in their mission to understand the concepts and issues relating foreign direct investment and international capital structure. There were a great success and minimal challenges in the manner of the course presentation and during the discussions.
